Terms and Conditions

By participating in the Fintech Olympiad (also referred in this document as “Olympiad”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • Eligibility: The Olympiad is open to individuals from across the globe who are college/ university students at the time of entry.
  • Entry: To participate in the Olympiad, you must complete the online registration form and provide accurate and complete information. By submitting your entry, you represent and warrant that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  • Intellectual Property: You retain all rights to any intellectual property created or used in connection with the Olympiad, including but not limited to any software, algorithms, or other materials developed. By submitting your entry, you grant the organizing body a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display your entry in connection with the Olympiad, including for promotional purposes.
  • Judging: The Olympiad will be judged by a panel of experts selected by the organizing body. The judges will evaluate entries based on criteria determined by the organizing body, and their decisions will be final and binding.
  • Prize: The organizing body will award prizes to the top-performing entries, as determined by the judges. The amount and nature of the prize will be determined by the organizing body and may vary depending on the number and quality of entries received.
  • Taxes: Winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and fees associated with the prize, including but not limited to income tax.
  • Disqualification: The organizing company reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant that violates these terms and conditions or that the organizing body, in its sole discretion, deems inappropriate or offensive.
  • Disclaimer: The organizing company makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the Olympiad or any prize awarded. By participating in the Olympiad, you agree to release and hold harmless the organizing company, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims or damages arising out of your participation in the Olympiad or acceptance of any prize.
  • Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the organizing company is located. The area of jurisdiction of the organizing body is Mumbai, India. 
  • Modifications: The organizing body reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.
  • Severability: If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.
  • Entire Agreement: These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and the organizing body with respect to the Olympiad and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and the organizing company.
  • NDA clause: Participants agree to protect confidential information during the Fintech Olympiad, with exceptions,under jurisdiction’s laws, and acknowledge remedies for breaches.
  • Code of Conduct clause: Student leaders must uphold professional behavior, confidentiality, responsible social media use, active participation, conflict resolution, and compliance with laws and policies.
  • Indemnity Clause: Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fintech Olympiad, its organizers, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from their actions, negligence, or breach of terms and conditions.
  • Refund : As per the terms and conditions of the Fintech Olympiad, all fees paid to participate in the event are non-refundable. This policy applies to all participants, regardless of the circumstances. By registering for the Fintech Olympiad, participants acknowledge and accept this refund policy. The organizers of the Fintech Olympiad reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event at any time, and in such cases, no refunds will be issued. In the unlikely event that the Fintech Olympiad is canceled, participants may be offered the opportunity to participate in a future event at the sole discretion of the organizers.
